About Me

Parks Custom Wood Art is a small independent workshop that I created in 2018. My passion for woodworking and the love of my country led me to start making rustic American flags for my family and friends as gifts. Later, I began making the Maryland state flag and personalized nautical letter panels as well. The flags I created were so well received that I retired from my job in banking in June 2021 to pursue this passion.

My goal is to deliver a custom piece of artwork that is “generational” and made so well that it lasts more than one lifetime. In partnership with my supportive wife, who is also my quality control specialist, I strive to produce the best product possible. My wife’s keen eye for details ensures that only something that she would buy herself leaves the workshop.
